What Stability AI does

Stability AI, founded in London in 2019, released Stable Diffusion in 2022 as an open-weight text-to-image model - a decision that, unlike the closed approach of DALL·E or Midjourney, let anyone run, fine-tune and build products on top of the model, seeding a large share of the open-source generative-image ecosystem.
