Accessibility statement

Nakoda AI is built to be usable by everyone, including people who rely on a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification or reduced motion. This statement sets out the standard we work to, what is in place today, and how to reach us when something gets in your way.

Our standard

We design and test against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. The guidelines cover how content is perceived, operated and understood, and how well it works with assistive technology.

Accessibility is part of how each page is built and reviewed, in the same pass as content, performance and search, rather than a separate project at the end.

What is in place

A "Skip to content" link is the first thing a keyboard reaches on every page, and every page has a header, a main region, a footer and labelled navigation landmarks.

Menus open from the keyboard as well as on hover. Enter, Space or the down arrow opens a menu, Tab moves through it, and Escape closes it and returns focus to where you were.

Every interactive element shows a visible focus ring. Text and controls are set to meet AA contrast in both the light and the dark theme, and the theme toggle in the header switches between them.

Animation respects the reduced-motion setting of your operating system.

Images that carry meaning have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from screen readers. Forms label every field and announce errors in text, not by colour alone.

Pages reflow to a single column on small screens and remain usable at 200% zoom.

Areas we are improving

A small number of pages use interactive 3D or film-like scenes, such as the brand story on the About page and the AI Strategy hallway. We are adding fuller text equivalents and screen-reader testing for these scenes as a priority.

Some directory listings and embedded third-party content (maps, videos, partner logos) come from outside sources. We check what we embed and ask partners for accessible versions where the original falls short.

Compatibility

The site is built to work with current versions of Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox, and with the screen readers most people use with them: NVDA and JAWS on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, and TalkBack on Android.

Feedback and contact

If any part of this site is hard to use, tell us at hello@nakoda.ai with the page address and a short description. We acknowledge every message within 2 business days and aim to resolve it, or offer the information in another format, within 10 business days.

You can also reach us by phone or WhatsApp using the details in the footer of every page.

How we assess this site

We assess the site by self-evaluation: automated checks during development, manual keyboard and screen-reader passes on key journeys, and review of every new page template before release.
